BIM Engineer – Marine Structures

About the role

We are seeking a talented and detail‑oriented BIM Designer specializing in ports and marine structures to join our growing team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You will create comprehensive Building Information Models for complex port and marine infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for port facilities, marine structures and related infrastructure (LOD 200–400).
• Produce 2D drawings, plans, sections, elevations, reinforcement details, schedules and shop drawings extracted from BIM models.
• Generate material take‑offs, quantity calculations, rock volume, dredging and reclamation assessments directly from BIM models.
• Create 3D tie‑in models between new and existing marine structures to identify clashes and ensure smooth construction interfaces.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models, perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks.
• Prepare technical drawings, schedules and documentation from BIM models and maintain BIM standards across project deliverables.

Required profile

• Good understanding of coastal and marine structures such as breakwaters, revetments, seawalls, quay walls, etc.
• Ability to interpret bathymetric and topographic survey data, seabed slopes, utility layouts and existing infrastructure.
• Familiarity with marine design levels (chart datum, tidal datums, dredge levels, reclamation levels).
• Understanding of coordinate systems, UTM grids, control points and georeferenced engineering drawings.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD (or equivalent BIM platforms).
• Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles, port infrastructure design and maritime construction standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in 3D modelling, visualisation, technical documentation and BIM coordination on complex projects.
• Portfolio showing previous BIM work on port, marine or infrastructure projects.
