BIM Manager

About the role

The BIM Manager will lead the digital information strategy for a large‑scale construction project, ensuring that all BIM deliverables meet contractual and industry standards. This role coordinates multidisciplinary teams, oversees model quality, and manages the project’s Common Data Environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and ensure compliance with ISO 19650 principles.
• Define and monitor information delivery requirements, including MIDP, TIDP, responsibility matrices and BIM deliverable schedules.
• Lead multidisciplinary BIM coordination across architecture, structure, MEP, interior design, medical equipment, specialist systems and infrastructure.
• Manage federated models, ensuring correct positioning, coordinates, levels, grids and alignment.
• Establish and run clash detection and coordination strategies, configure clash tests and oversee issue‑management workflows.
• Conduct regular model reviews, chair BIM coordination meetings and track resolution of identified issues.
• Set up BIM model QA/QC procedures, perform compliance checks and maintain audit reports.
• Support the configuration, administration and governance of the project Common Data Environment (CDE), managing model sharing, approvals and document control workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading BIM and digital information management on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and BIM Execution Plan development.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage federated models.
• Experience establishing clash detection strategies and handling issue resolution.
• Familiarity with Common Data Environment setup and document‑control processes.
