Biology Teacher (Start Sep 2025)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Biology Teacher to join Jumeirah College in Dubai from September 2025. The successful candidate will deliver the National Curriculum for England at GCSE and A‑Level, fostering scientific inquiry and academic excellence among a diverse international student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
• Prepare practical laboratory sessions, resources and assessments.
• Monitor and report student progress, providing targeted support.
• Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of global awareness and citizenship.

Required profile

• Qualified with a B.Ed. or degree in Biology and a PGCE/PGDE or equivalent.
• Minimum two years’ experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
• Demonstrated record of outstanding teaching and student outcomes.
• Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners.

Required skills

• Exceptional subject knowledge in Biology.
