Budget & Financial Reporting Unit Head

About the role

The Budget & Financial Reporting Unit Head leads the planning, budgeting and performance monitoring function for the organization. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role ensures that business plans and budgets are aligned with strategic objectives and that financial reporting is accurate and timely.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage the Budgeting & Financial Reporting team, overseeing daily operations and task delegation.
• Set performance objectives, conduct performance reviews and support career development for direct reports.
• Define and track metrics to evaluate the success of budgeting and reporting initiatives.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop medium‑ and long‑term strategic plans aligned with the entity’s vision.
• Lead the design and maintenance of the financial system used for consolidated annual budgeting.
• Oversee capital and operating budgeting processes, including top‑down and bottom‑up budget integration.
• Coordinate closely with the Finance Manager and Business Support Director to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Review, consolidate and present departmental plans to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in budgeting, financial reporting or related finance functions.
• Strong analytical ability to assess budget performance and drive improvements.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic financial plans.
