Business Analyst - FinTech

About the role

Dawam Business Solutions is hiring a Business Analyst in its Technology department, reporting to the CTO. The role bridges business needs and technical delivery for fintech applications and platforms, working with stakeholders, the CTO and tech teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements, use cases and workflows with stakeholders.
• Analyse business flows, identify gaps and recommend technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and system requirements.
• Create detailed BRDs, functional specifications and user stories.
• Support the design, development and deployment of fintech apps and platforms.
• Take part in UAT and SIT testing and ensure quality standards.
• Facilitate communication between business units, developers and QA teams.
• Track project progress, report issues and risks, and support project management.
• Ensure compliance with fintech regulations, data privacy and security standards.
• Evaluate emerging fintech trends and prioritise initiatives by business need.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, computer science or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in fintech, banking or financial services.
• Experience creating BRDs, process maps and user stories.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands-on knowledge of digital payments, POS systems, mobile applications and financial platforms.
• Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence and Trello.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, GDPR and local banking regulations.
