Business Central Expert - Contract Accountant

About the role

This 2‑month, full‑time position in Dubai focuses on managing and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for finance and accounting processes. The role blends system administration with core accounting duties, supporting the finance team in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and continuously improve Business Central to meet finance workflow needs.
• Perform day‑to‑day accounting tasks: general ledger entries, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and management to translate business requirements into system processes.
• Troubleshoot system issues, train internal users, and assist with documentation and audit support.

Required profile

• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and user training.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or Contract Accountant with hands‑on Business Central (or NAV) expertise.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and closing procedures.
• High proficiency with Excel and ability to work with large data sets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
