Business Development Manager – AI Geospatial Solutions

About the role

We are building a startup within the Technology Innovation Institute to commercialise an AI‑enabled, multi‑sensor decision‑support platform. The Business Development Manager will drive pipeline growth and revenue for this geospatial software solution, working closely with product, engineering and delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a qualified pipeline across priority sectors and named accounts.
• Own the end‑to‑end deal cycle: outreach, discovery, qualification, proposal, POCs, negotiation and closure.
• Lead customer discovery to capture use cases, constraints and success criteria.
• Shape value propositions, packaging and pricing (SaaS, license, services, hybrid).
• Coordinate responses to RFI/RFPs, ensuring high‑quality submissions.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with data providers, integrators and model partners.
• Maintain CRM discipline with accurate account plans, stage hygiene and forecasts.
• Collaborate with legal, procurement, marketing and product teams to support contracting, collateral and lead generation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of business development or enterprise sales experience in B2B technology.
• Proven track record closing mid‑to‑large deals and navigating multi‑stakeholder buying committees.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus.

Required skills

• CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Excel and Power BI for analytics and reporting.
