Business Development Manager – Corporate & MICE

About the role

The InterContinental Fujairah Resort, a five‑star luxury property on Al Aqah Beach, is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead Corporate, MICE and Group sales. You will work closely with multiple hotel departments to deliver seamless account management and drive revenue in line with the commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Corporate, MICE and Group sales strategies aligned with revenue targets.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, building strong relationships and increasing business share.
• Identify new opportunities through market intelligence, networking, industry events and government relationships.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, handling prospecting, follow‑up, conversion and account development.
• Oversee MICE and Group opportunities from inquiry to contract and operational hand‑over.
• Prepare and negotiate rates, proposals, contracts, RFPs and tenders in line with revenue strategy.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Reservations, Events, F&B, Operations and Finance to ensure accurate client requirements and seamless delivery.
• Monitor account performance, market trends and KPIs, taking corrective action to achieve targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel sales or business development, preferably in a luxury resort.
• Proven experience handling Corporate, MICE and Group accounts and achieving sales targets.
• Good knowledge of the UAE corporate and MICE market.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with hotel sales/CRM systems.
