Business Development Manager – General Insurance

About the role

Whizz HR is seeking a Business Development Manager for General Insurance to drive new business, nurture client relationships, and grow the company’s insurance portfolio across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business through networking, cold calling, referrals and market research.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate and SME clients, identifying their insurance needs and recommending suitable solutions.
• Handle enquiries, quotations, negotiations, renewals and follow‑ups, coordinating with insurers for competitive terms.
• Drive sales across Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet and other general insurance products, meeting monthly and annual revenue targets.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, accurate CRM records and identify cross‑selling and upselling opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Marketing or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in insurance sales or business development, preferably in general insurance brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE market and an existing corporate/SME network.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets with strong negotiation and relationship‑management skills.
• Self‑motivated, target‑oriented and commercially driven.
