Business Development Manager - Government

About the role

The Business Development Manager – Government will be responsible for generating room‑night and revenue growth by cultivating relationships with UAE government bodies, semi‑government organisations and embassies. The role ensures all commercial activities comply with government protocols and the hotel’s luxury brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and manage government, semi‑government and embassy accounts to meet revenue targets.
• Maintain strong working relationships with key government decision‑makers and procurement departments.
• Negotiate contracts, rates and agreements in line with tender requirements and hotel policies.
• Monitor government business performance, market trends and competitor activity within the UAE.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts and represent the hotel at government meetings, forums and official events.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of UAE government structures, procurement processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven experience managing contracts, tenders and long‑term government agreements.
• Professional, diplomatic communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical and strategic thinking to spot growth opportunities in the government segment.
