Business Development Manager

About the role

Hyve Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the commercial expansion of Shoptalk Luxe across the GCC and wider Middle East. The role will focus on driving sponsorship revenue, building strategic partnerships, and establishing a strong on‑the‑ground presence in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, secure and manage high‑value regional sponsors and partners for Shoptalk Luxe.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities and meet or exceed sales targets.
• Establish relationships with C‑suite and senior decision‑makers in the retail technology space.
• Convert regional awareness of Shoptalk Luxe into long‑term commercial relationships and creative partnership opportunities.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, manage the sales process through CRM, and ensure an excellent customer experience from prospect to event execution.
• Collaborate with internal sales teams and other departments to drive growth.

Required profile

• 5+ years of consultative sales experience, preferably in tech events within the Middle East.
• Strong network and knowledge of retail technology suppliers in the region.
• Proven ability to generate and close large sponsorship or partnership deals and meet revenue targets.
• Experience in account mapping, pipeline management and forecasting revenue.
• Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commercially driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
