Buying Manager – Kitchen Category

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Buying Manager to lead the Kitchen category for Homecentre, part of the Landmark Group, in Dubai. The role oversees the full product lifecycle, from planning and design to vendor negotiation and sales performance, ensuring the category meets its financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to drive sales growth and profitability for the Kitchen category.
• Prepare annual merchandise plans, set pricing, promotions and assortment in collaboration with the Merchandise Planning team.
• Lead product design and development, ensuring specifications, packaging and quality standards are met within budget.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, monitor orders and implement cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform category strategy and pricing.
• Oversee a team of buyers, set performance objectives, conduct appraisals and foster a motivated work environment.

Required profile

• Postgraduate or graduate degree.
• 12‑15 years of relevant experience, with at least 8 years in home‑retail merchandising.
• Proven track record of managing a product category end‑to‑end, delivering sales and margin targets.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with market research and financial planning.
