Buying Specialist – IMEEA Region

About the role

This role is part of the Abu Dhabi Regional Office (ADRO) covering Southern Africa to the Indian Subcontinent. We are looking for a Ports & Terminals (P&T) Procurement Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi, responsible for procurement and supplier relationship management for the assigned portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the annual budget, driving sourcing and optimisation initiatives to deliver value.
• Develop and maintain relationships with incumbent and potential suppliers, conducting market research and spend analysis.
• Analyse cost drivers, build models for should‑cost, TCO/TVO and identify savings opportunities.
• Lead contract negotiations, SLA definition and ensure contractual value is realised.
• Monitor supplier performance, report deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Own all aspects of the portfolio – costs, performance, compliance, documentation and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in container terminals, ports, shipping or logistics procurement.
• Strong understanding of ports and terminals operations and liner shipping.
• Excellent English communication; French or Arabic is a plus.
• Proven negotiation, category management and supplier relationship management experience.
• Demonstrated project‑management capability in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to analyse large data sets and draw financial conclusions.
