Cable Jointer

About the role

TASC Outsourcing is seeking an experienced Cable Jointer to join its team in Fujairah. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, jointing, termination and maintenance of LV, MV and HV power cables in line with project specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform jointing and termination of LV/MV/HV electrical cables according to project requirements and authorization level.
• Prepare cables for jointing – cutting, stripping, insulation preparation and connection.
• Install cable joints, terminations, glands and related accessories.
• Carry out cable laying, dressing and connection activities on site.
• Identify and support troubleshooting of cable faults and damaged connections.
• Assist with cable testing, commissioning and documentation of results.
• Read and follow electrical drawings, cable schedules and technical instructions.
• Inspect cables, joints and terminations for defects and carry out repairs or replacements as needed.
• Adhere to Permit to Work (PTW), LOTO, PPE and electrical safety procedures.
• Coordinate with electricians, technicians, engineers and site supervisors.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma/Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or an electrical trade.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on cable jointing experience, preferably in utility or power‑distribution environments.
• Experience with LV/MV cables; HV experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of XLPE/PVC cable types, joints, terminations, glands and connectors.
• Familiarity with electrical testing and fault‑identification procedures.
• Understanding of electrical and site safety standards.
