CAD Technician – Infrastructure & Utilities

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to support a high‑profile roads and infrastructure project in Dubai. You will work closely with engineers, surveyors and BIM teams to produce accurate, standards‑compliant drawings for a variety of civil works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise and maintain detailed CAD drawings for roads, utilities, tunnels, bridges and related infrastructure.
• Incorporate design changes, site modifications and approved technical information into drawings.
• Assist engineering teams in reviewing contractor shop drawings, as‑built drawings, utility layouts, profiles and cross‑sections.
• Coordinate drawings across civil, structural, utility and other disciplines to identify discrepancies and potential clashes.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, Dubai RTA standards and internal CAD standards.
• Support preparation and verification of as‑built drawings based on approved site information and survey data.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, numbering, layering and document control requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of CAD drafting experience on major roads and infrastructure projects, preferably in Dubai.
• Previous experience with RTA‑approved projects is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Extensive use of AutoCAD for civil drafting.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D and BIM‑related workflows (advantageous).
• Strong familiarity with Dubai RTA standards, specifications, drawing requirements and submission procedures.
