Calibration Manager

About the role

The Calibration Manager will lead the calibration and inspection function for Bureau Veritas' Marine & Offshore division in Dubai. You will ensure all activities meet company and customer requirements while complying with international standards and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage calibration and inspection activities, ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines.
• Manage the departmental budget, monitor spend, and take corrective actions on variances.
• Develop, implement, and maintain calibration and measurement (C&M) policies, standards, processes, and procedures.
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance programmes for equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with Sales to prepare quotations, bids, and tenders, providing technical advice as needed.
• Record, review, and report calibration results, describing methodologies used.
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors for cost‑effective C&M purchases and conduct technical evaluations.
• Investigate equipment issues, identify gaps, and recommend or perform remedial actions.
• Manage spares and consumables inventory to ensure timely replenishment.
• Oversee equipment installations by vendors, ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
• Ensure adherence to QHSSE regulations and internal policies.
• Coach, lead, and evaluate team members, setting goals and providing performance feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
