Carpenter – 5 Star Resort

About the role

As a Carpenter at Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the resort’s wooden structures, furniture and fittings. You will work on guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety, functionality and appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, fixtures and other wooden structures.
• Repair and replace damaged woodwork, fittings and furnishings.
• Install, assemble and modify carpentry items as required.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with hotel standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Support other engineering team members when required.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest concerns.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Proven track record in a similar carpentry role for at least 2 years, preferably in a 5‑star resort in the UAE.
• Technical education background and related diplomas.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work in a busy schedule.
• Team‑player attitude.
