Carpenter

About the role

Accor is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join its facilities management department in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You will be responsible for constructing, installing and repairing wooden structures and fixtures throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, install and repair wooden structures, fixtures and furniture
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
• Select appropriate materials and tools for each project
• Measure, cut and shape wood, plastic and other materials
• Install doors, windows, trim and hardware
• Perform preventive maintenance on wooden structures and equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects
• Maintain accurate logs of completed work and materials used

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; valid carpenter certification preferred
• At least 3-5 years of experience in carpentry, with knowledge of construction techniques and safety regulations
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Additional language is an added advantage
