Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

About the role

A finance team in Dubai is looking for a licensed CPA to join its accounting function. This is an on-site role for someone with solid UAE accounting and tax experience who can own the month-end close and work independently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports and financial analyses
• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records
• Manage UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance and filings
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide the required financial documentation
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables and financial controls
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and UAE regulations
• Manage accounting processes within Odoo ERP and work with other ERP systems for accurate data, reporting and controls
• Identify improvements to accounting processes and internal controls, and give management financial insights and recommendations

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE
• Currently based in Dubai
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax
• Strong experience with ERP systems and accounting software
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
