Chartered Accountant – Tax & Compliance (Freshly Qualified)

About the role

We are hiring for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant to join a leading tax advisory firm in Dubai. The role focuses on UAE VAT, corporate tax and FTA compliance, offering hands‑on experience in client‑facing tax projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT return workings in line with UAE tax law.
• Coordinate VAT return filing, review and obtain manager approval before submission.
• Perform transaction‑level reviews to detect errors, omissions and Reverse Charge Mechanism implications.
• Maintain reconciliations of sales, purchases and RCM, and review trial balances for tax purposes.
• Assist in responding to FTA queries, notices, assessments and related applications.
• Update client registrations on the EmaraTax portal and monitor compliance deadlines.
• Act as the primary contact for assigned clients, collect required documents and communicate deliverable status.
• Review accounting records, perform reconciliations and analyse financial data for tax issues.
• Coordinate with the Engagement Manager and internal team to ensure timely delivery of assignments.

Required profile

• Freshly qualified CA, ACCA or equivalent professional.
• Strong interest in UAE VAT, corporate tax and client advisory.
• Willingness to work under the guidance of an Engagement Manager and develop into an independent client handler.
• Ability to meet statutory deadlines and communicate clearly with clients.

Required skills

• UAE VAT compliance and filing.
• Corporate tax and FTA regulatory knowledge.
• Experience with the EmaraTax portal.
• Financial reconciliation and transaction review.
