Chef de Partie - Banquet Kitchen

About the role

The Banquet Kitchen at Le Meridien in Dubai is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to prepare and present high‑quality banquet dishes. You will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to ensure timely service and consistent culinary standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and banquet specifications.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters to maintain food safety.
• Pull frozen items for thawing, portion, arrange and garnish dishes for service.
• Maintain food logs, monitor quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Notify Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum three years of relevant kitchen experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Operation of ovens, grills and other kitchen equipment.
• Food portioning, plating and garnish techniques.
• Food safety and hygiene compliance.
