Chef De Partie – Café (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Café Chef De Partie will lead the preparation and cooking of dishes within a dedicated kitchen section, ensuring Bateel’s culinary standards are consistently met. Reporting to the Assistant Restaurant Manager, the role combines hands‑on cooking, team supervision and close collaboration with the Sous Chef and front‑of‑house staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee daily mise‑en‑place and food production for the assigned section.
• Cook ingredients according to recipes, enforce service level agreements and maintain quality, presentation and temperature standards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of menu items, recipes and ingredients.
• Complete shift checklists, produce daily production lists and ensure proper storage of all food items.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Support catering, special events and lunch/dinner services as required.
• Control inventory, minimise waste and apply strict portion control.
• Communicate with the Front‑of‑House team to align par levels, sales forecasts and event requirements.
• Lead, brief and train junior kitchen staff, arrange cover and ensure appropriate staffing.
• Enforce hygiene, health and safety regulations, including food safety, fire and first‑aid standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Chef De Partie or similar kitchen role.
• Strong knowledge of menu items, recipes and ingredient handling.
• Ability to supervise and train junior team members.
• Excellent coordination with Sous Chef, front‑of‑house and catering teams.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
