Chief Accountant – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

White Star Contracting is seeking a proactive Chief Accountant to join its finance team in Abu Dhabi. This is a hands‑on position that supports the Finance Director and drives financial processes across a fast‑growing international construction business.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and refine accounting procedures and financial tools.
• Register new trading entities for the group and set up VAT compliance.
• Oversee P&L reporting and support the Finance Director in strategic decisions.
• Build and lead a small accounting team, ensuring a motivated workforce.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely payroll and payments.

Required profile

• Currently residing in the UAE and able to attend face‑to‑face interviews in Abu Dhabi.
• 3‑4 years of accountancy experience within the UAE.
• Degree in Accountancy (attested and available on request).
• Strong communication skills, especially when interacting with senior management.
• Ability to provide professional references when required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with numbers and financial analysis.
