Chief Accountant – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Marriott Hotel Production City in Dubai is looking for a Chief Accountant to lead its finance team within a luxury hospitality environment. The role focuses on managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting workflows, general ledgers and property‑level financial operations.
• Lead month‑end close procedures, periodic reporting, budget preparation and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Enforce internal control frameworks and ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards.
• Audit financial statements, balance‑sheet reconciliations and trial balances for precision.
• Supervise, train and guide property accounting staff to optimise department performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Minimum 5 years of hotel accounting experience, preferably in 5‑star UAE properties.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards and statutory reporting.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with hospitality accounting systems.
• Proficiency in financial reporting platforms.
• Advanced use of spreadsheet tools.
