Chief Financial Officer – Agri Commodities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function of a growing agri‑commodities and international trading business headquartered in Dubai. The CFO will act as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, overseeing financial strategy, treasury, trade finance, risk management and business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall finance strategy aligned with growth and expansion plans, partnering with senior leadership on investments and commercial decisions.
• Provide budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and profitability insights across commodity procurement, trading, sales and logistics.
• Manage treasury, liquidity and working‑capital, including bank relationships, trade finance instruments, FX exposure and hedging strategies.
• Oversee financial performance, controls and governance for operations in Africa and other international markets.
• Establish robust financial controls, ensure compliance with accounting, tax and regulatory requirements, and lead annual audits.
• Build and develop a high‑performing, geographically dispersed finance organisation.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.
• 15+ years of finance experience with senior leadership roles such as CFO, Finance Director or Group Finance Head.
• Strong background in agri‑commodities, commodity trading or related sectors with significant Africa exposure.
• Proven experience managing multi‑country entities, trade finance, treasury, FX hedging and working‑capital intensive businesses.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership capabilities.
