Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

An experienced and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is sought to lead the company's financial strategy, planning, reporting, treasury and financial controls. The role is based in Sharjah.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with commercial objectives and expansion plans.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis and performance reporting.
• Manage liquidity, working capital, cash flow forecasting, banking facilities and short- and long-term funding.
• Handle trade finance and banking relationships, including letters of credit, import/export financing, guarantees and foreign exchange exposure.
• Negotiate and secure financing for plant, machinery, equipment and business expansion projects.
• Set up internal controls, credit controls and risk-management procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, accounting standards, statutory reporting and audit requirements.
• Monitor trading margins, operating expenses and profitability by product, customer, supplier and business unit.
• Strengthen ERP use, reporting processes and financial systems.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounts team and support commercial decisions on new markets and opportunities.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified through ICAP (Pakistan), ICAI (India), ICAEW (UK) or another recognized institute.
• Minimum 15 years of finance and accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in a trading, manufacturing or industrial organization.
• Strong experience in international trade finance, LCs, import/export financing, bank guarantees, working capital facilities and FX.
• Proven track record of building banking relationships and securing credit facilities, including financing for capital expenditure without conventional collateral.
• Treasury and financial reporting experience across multiple companies in a group structure.
• Knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, tax planning, statutory compliance and external audits.
