Chief of Staff – Institutional Crypto Platform

About the role

MidChains is launching a new Chief of Staff position to support its CEO and senior leadership team. Based in Abu Dhabi, this role offers a fast‑track to senior leadership within a regulated institutional crypto‑trading platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the CEO’s executive calendar, high‑level communications, and board meeting preparation.
• Lead cross‑functional strategic projects across trading, custody, business development, and regulatory affairs.
• Coordinate with UAE regulators (VARA, Central Bank of UAE) on compliance and regulatory submissions.
• Oversee HR operations, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management and employee engagement.
• Supervise office administration, facilities, vendor relationships and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives, change‑management programs and organizational transformation projects.
• Support executive travel, event planning and corporate hospitality while gaining exposure to business‑development activities.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years of experience as a management consultant or similar role, preferably in financial services, fintech or institutional environments.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex executive stakeholder interactions and manage high‑visibility projects.
• Experience working in the UAE, with knowledge of local regulatory landscape and business culture.
• Strong background in regulated financial firms, including exposure to compliance and trading operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of drafting memos and presentations for C‑level audiences.
• High level of discretion handling confidential and regulatory matters.
