Chief Officer - Visual Arts

About the role

Talents Tide is looking for a Chief Officer to support the planning, coordination and implementation of visual arts programs, projects and initiatives. The role covers research, data analysis, performance monitoring, stakeholder coordination and reporting to help develop the visual arts sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of annual operational plans, programs, projects and initiatives related to visual arts.
• Coordinate visual arts activities, exhibitions, conferences, seminars and workshops so they run on time.
• Carry out research, collect and analyse data, and prepare reports, statistics and recommendations on the visual arts sector.
• Monitor project progress, KPIs, targets and deliverables, and identify challenges and opportunities with recommended solutions.
• Coordinate with internal departments, government bodies, private organisations and external partners.
• Support local, regional and international participation in visual arts events and initiatives.
• Help prepare proposals, presentations, correspondence, agreements and partnership documentation.
• Review industry trends, best practices, policies and initiatives in arts, design and culture.
• Support monitoring and evaluation of programs to measure outcomes and impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Applied Arts, Fine Arts, Business Administration or an equivalent qualification from an accredited university.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in research, data analysis, reporting and project coordination.
• Familiarity with trends and best practices in the arts, design and literature sectors.
• Knowledge of funding and grant mechanisms in the arts sector.
• Understanding of policies, procedures and initiatives for the development of the arts sector.
