Chief Steward

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Steward to lead stewarding operations across all food & beverage outlets. The role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety while supporting smooth kitchen workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the stewarding team in all F&B outlets.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, stores, equipment and back‑of‑house areas.
• Implement and monitor HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Coordinate with the Executive Chef and F&B team to support daily operations.
• Control inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals and kitchen equipment.
• Plan stewarding manpower schedules and duty rosters.
• Train staff on proper cleaning, chemical handling and safety procedures.
• Oversee waste management, recycling practices and dishwashing operations during peak periods.
• Conduct regular inspections and prepare for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Proven experience as Chief Steward or Stewarding Supervisor in a hotel or large restaurant.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts.
• Familiarity with UAE food safety regulations is preferred.
• Hands‑on approach with a focus on operational excellence.
