Child Psychiatrist – Full‑time in Dubai

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in Dubai, providing safe, evidence‑based, family‑centred care for children and young people.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents.
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, mood and behavioural disorders, and trauma‑related conditions.
• Develop and review individualised treatment plans, including medication management and monitoring.
• Provide risk assessment, crisis intervention and coordinate urgent care referrals.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, speech and occupational therapists, and school teams.
• Counsel and support parents and caregivers, offering psycho‑education.
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in line with UAE health regulations.
• Contribute to clinical governance, case reviews, quality improvement and team supervision.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Specialist qualification in Psychiatry with subspecialty training or certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Minimum 3 years post‑specialty experience in child and adolescent services.
• Valid DHA licence or eligibility to obtain one before starting.
• Excellent communication in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
• Cultural sensitivity, empathy and sound ethical judgement.

Required skills

• Strong skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and medication management.
• Clinical documentation in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Experience in neurodevelopmental assessment and working in school or community settings (preferred).
