Children's Care & Hygiene Assistant (Nanny)

About the role

The Children’s Care & Hygiene Assistant supports young children with daily personal care, meals and a clean environment at La Maluk Village Early Childhood Center. Working closely with educators, assistants and the on‑site nurse, you ensure the wellbeing and safety of each child throughout the day.

Key responsibilities

• Assist children with changing clothes, diapers or underwear while respecting privacy and hygiene standards.
• Prepare and maintain sleeping areas for naps, change bed linen and manage used textiles for laundry.
• Set up food‑receiving and serving areas, distribute meals according to the menu and child count, and serve food alongside educators.
• Observe and enforce food‑allergy information, special diets and label checks; report any discrepancies or reactions immediately.
• Clean and disinfect tables, chairs, dishes, trays, toys, educational materials and all high‑touch surfaces before and after meals.
• Perform daily wet cleaning of group rooms, sleeping areas, toilets, corridors and common spaces, and promptly address spills to prevent accidents.
• Monitor and replenish supplies such as soap, towels, diapers, detergents and disinfectants, informing the nurse of any shortages.
• Use designated cleaning equipment for different zones, follow cleaning schedules and complete required checklists.

Required profile

• Comfortable working with young children and able to maintain their dignity during personal care.
• Attention to detail for hygiene, food safety and cleaning standards.
• Ability to follow established procedures, schedules and reporting protocols.
• Team player who collaborates with educators, assistants and medical staff.
