Cisco Network Engineer

About the role

The Network Engineer will design, implement, upgrade, operate, maintain and secure the company's network infrastructure in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. The role ensures high availability, performance and security of all network services and supports the continuous development of the organisation's technology capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of the organisation's operational infrastructure plan.
• Identify, evaluate and select appropriate network and server systems, equipment and related technologies.
• Design, implement, maintain and continuously upgrade network and server infrastructure to ensure optimal availability and performance.
• Provide technical support for installation, testing, configuration and operation of operating systems, network infrastructure and related systems.
• Ensure technical and operational efficiency, availability and readiness of databases, systems, network devices and supporting equipment.
• Design, test, maintain and continuously upgrade the core and internal networks, infrastructure equipment and related technology support systems.
• Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance of network devices, operating systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Monitor system and network performance, implementing modifications, upgrades and improvements to meet service level requirements.
• Document network configurations, installations and compliance with international standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in network engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of network design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with international networking standards and best practices.
