Civil Engineer – Roads & Bridges Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to lead the supervision and inspection of major roads, bridges and underpasses in Dubai. The role involves ensuring that all construction activities meet design specifications, safety standards and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the construction of bridges, underpasses and road infrastructure.
• Review and approve contractors’ shop drawings, material proposals and construction methods.
• Conduct regular field inspections and monitor work progress against quality standards.
• Prepare and review technical reports, daily diaries, inspection reports and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate with contractors, surveyors and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain schedules.
• Oversee inspectors and guide the supervision of contractor operations.
• Review and analyse as‑built drawings in collaboration with surveyors.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations and RTA standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience supervising construction of roads, highways, bridges and underpasses.
• Previous experience working in Dubai with knowledge of local construction practices and regulations.
