Civil Estimation Engineer

About the role

The Civil Estimation Engineer will lead cost estimation activities for water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the UAE, preparing accurate quantity take‑offs, bills of quantities and tender submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take‑offs (QTOs), Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed cost estimates from tender drawings and specifications.
• Develop cost estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, RO plants, reservoirs and associated civil works.
• Review tender documents, clarify scope and produce technical and commercial clarifications.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, perform rate analysis and cost benchmarking.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and commercial teams throughout the tendering process.
• Identify risks, opportunities and value‑engineering proposals to enhance bid competitiveness.
• Prepare complete tender submissions in line with client requirements.
• Maintain estimating records, cost databases and historical pricing to improve future accuracy.
• Support project hand‑over by providing estimate details and assumptions to execution teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with MOHESR equivalency.
• Engineer’s license from Abu Dhabi Municipality.
• 5–7 years of civil estimation experience in the UAE.
• Experience in water transmission, sewerage networks, pump stations, water or sewage treatment plants, RO plants, RCC reservoirs or related civil structures.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
