Civil Estimator

About the role

Our client is seeking a Civil Estimator to join their construction team in Dubai. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for civil projects such as infrastructure, site development, earthworks, roads, and utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse drawings, specifications and technical documentation to produce detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare quantity take‑offs and cost breakdowns for labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Solicit, evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals.
• Participate in pre‑bid meetings and site visits to assess scope and conditions.
• Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, bid documents and project proposals.
• Monitor cost trends, support budgeting, forecasting and value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil estimating or related construction roles.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, codes and local regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and within a fast‑paced team environment.
