Civil Field Inspector

About the role

The Civil Field Inspector will carry out on‑site inspections for architectural, civil and structural works, ensuring compliance with contract documents, codes, standards and best construction practices. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the role collaborates with local staff and external parties to maintain quality and safety on the project.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and respond to all site inspection requests (IRs) for architectural, civil and structural works.
• Maintain daily activity records and provide photographs for QA/QC reports.
• Document non‑conforming practices, materials and equipment, and prepare Non‑Conformity reports for Engineer/Resident Engineer approval.
• Witness and verify laboratory tests on‑site or in the lab.
• Assist in training and evaluating architectural and design/drafting personnel.
• Control daily site installations and safety measures.
• Prepare hold point reviews and continuously monitor progress and quality.
• Conduct random manpower checks to ensure timely project completion.
• Coordinate with the contractor’s QA/QC department, reviewing quality documents, submittals, method statements, material submittals and shop drawings.
• Ensure works are executed according to the latest approved drawings and specifications.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience as a site inspector on large, complex building projects.
• Technical Diploma; a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality system standards and methodologies.
• Proficiency in English (fluency required).
• Experience with Expedition and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, 3D software and other design tools is an advantage.
