Civil Inspector – Construction Quality & Compliance

About the role

The Civil Inspector will ensure that all civil works on transportation projects meet the required standards, specifications and regulatory requirements through rigorous site inspections and quality oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure contractor compliance with project standards, specifications and approved drawings through regular site inspections and audits.
• Maintain comprehensive daily records of contractor activities, manpower, equipment and site progress.
• Conduct site supervision and measurements such as pipe alignments, levels and elevations as directed by the Resident Engineer.
• Apply and enforce quality control and quality assurance procedures, monitor contractor QA/QC activities and keep relevant records.
• Prepare daily reports, issue Non‑Conformance Reports and Site Observation Reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Review Requests for Information and technical submittals, monitor progress against schedules and report delays.
• Coordinate with structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in civil inspection, preferably on roads and transportation projects.
• Minimum five years of experience working in the UAE with knowledge of local authority procedures (RTA, DM, DEWA).
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an equivalency certificate.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
