Civil Inspector – Pumping Station Projects

About the role

KN International is looking for a Civil Inspector to oversee civil works on a pumping station project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves inspecting excavation, concrete structures and underground facilities to ensure they meet approved drawings and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of civil works including excavation, shoring, foundations, wet wells, dry wells and concrete structures.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications and UAE authority standards.
• Review and respond to Inspection Requests submitted by contractors.
• Monitor construction activities for quality, safety and compliance.
• Check materials, reinforcement, concrete works and workmanship.
• Maintain inspection records, daily reports and non‑conformance reports.
• Identify site defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Review method statements, shop drawings and material submittals.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams for interface works.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on pumping station or underground infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete works and underground structures.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and authority requirements.
• Experience in inspection and QA/QC documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and reporting skills.
