Civil Inspector – Roads & Infrastructure

About the role

AECOM seeks an experienced Civil Inspector for a major roads and infrastructure project in Dubai. The role involves inspection and supervision of works to ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review contract documents, detailed drawings and specifications.
• Conduct daily site supervision and inspections.
• Liaise with the contractor to monitor resources, health & safety and equipment needs.
• Prepare daily reports, work orders and track material deliveries.
• Implement and audit quality control procedures on site.
• Perform site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels.
• Coordinate with the client project manager during inspections.
• Monitor QA/QC activities and maintain relevant records.
• Support start‑up, commissioning and handover, tracking project milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (RTA approval preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar infrastructure/roads projects, with at least 3 years in the UAE.
• Proven experience supervising civil works and ensuring compliance with contract documents.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and contract specifications.
