Civil Structural Site Inspection Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Site Inspection Engineer to lead inspection activities on oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that all civil and structural works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, QA/QC standards and UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise civil and structural construction activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and witness testing according to approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality procedures.
• Validate that works are supported by approved shop drawings, method statements, material approval requests and inspection & test requests.
• Monitor concrete, reinforcement, formwork and overall structural works for quality, safety and constructability.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and testing laboratories to ensure timely inspections and regulatory compliance.
• Review non‑conformance reports, track corrective actions and support project close‑out, including As‑Built verification.
• Report construction progress, technical issues and quality concerns to the Construction Manager and project team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas, industrial and structural projects.
• Previous experience working in the UAE or GCC is mandatory.
• Familiarity with UAE regulations and authority procedures is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, reporting and coordination abilities.
