Classroom Assistant – Immediate Start in Abu Dhabi

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Classroom Assistant (UAE National) to join Pearl British Academy in Abu Dhabi with an immediate start. The school follows the England National Curriculum and serves a diverse international community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support to individual pupils or groups inside and outside the classroom, ensuring participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
• Assist teachers with implementing individual education programmes, monitoring progress and maintaining pupil records.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including emotional, behavioural and social skill development.
• Help with health and safety matters, attendance checking, supervising pupils, and disciplining in line with school policy.
• Prepare displays of pupil work, assist with photocopying, organise classroom materials and support teachers with various administrative tasks.

Required profile

• UAE national with at least a secondary school certificate (or Bachelor’s degree).
• Minimum two years experience in a school setting, preferably supporting students for whom English is not the first language.
• Strong English language proficiency aligned with the school curriculum.
• Demonstrated passion for teaching, professionalism and commitment to child welfare.
• Clean enhanced DBS/police check and willingness to undergo reference checks.
