Classroom Assistant – UAE National – Yasmina American School

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a UAE National Classroom Assistant for Yasmina American School in Abu Dhabi, starting November 2025. The role supports teachers and pupils across Pre‑KG to Grade 5, helping students fully engage in classroom and school activities while promoting their well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and group support to pupils inside and outside the classroom, ensuring participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
• Assist teachers with implementing individual education programmes, monitoring progress, and maintaining pupil records.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including emotional, behavioural, and social‑skill development.
• Prepare displays of student work, manage classroom materials, and perform photocopying and other administrative tasks.
• Supervise pupils during lessons and other school locations, enforce health‑and‑safety policies, and contribute to behaviour policy development.
• Collaborate with specialists such as speech and occupational therapists as required.

Required profile

• UAE national with at least a secondary school certificate, diploma or degree.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Classroom or Inclusion Assistant.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Demonstrated professionalism, clean enhanced DBS/police check, and a commitment to child well‑being.
• Active involvement in extracurricular activities and a positive, solution‑focused attitude.
