Clearance Coordinator

About the role

The Clearance Coordinator will ensure smooth customs clearance for all inbound shipments, supporting Samcom Electronics' supply chain operations in the UAE. You will act as the liaison between customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams to minimise delays and costs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and submit customs clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and permits.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and UAE customs authorities to facilitate shipment clearance.
• Track shipment ETAs, monitor clearance status, and report delays or issues to the Logistics Manager.
• Resolve documentation discrepancies and customs queries promptly.
• Work closely with the Warehouse team to align receipt of cleared shipments and minimise demurrage or storage charges.
• Maintain accurate customs and clearance records in compliance with UAE import/export regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or a similar logistics role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures and import/export documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation and follow‑up abilities.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
