About the role

The SEHA Hospital seeks a diligent Clinical Coder to accurately translate patient health records into standardized diagnosis and procedure codes. Working closely with clinical and revenue teams, the coder ensures proper documentation, billing compliance, and high‑quality data for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Code routine outpatient records using encoder software and reference tools.
• Validate charges against clinical documentation and apply appropriate modifiers.
• Use retrospective edit tools to resolve coding or documentation discrepancies.
• Collaborate with CDI teams, physicians, and Revenue Cycle Management to clarify records and address billing issues.
• Interpret bundling/unbundling guidelines and track missing documentation.
• Investigate claim denials and meet established quality and productivity standards.
• Stay current with UAE coding, reimbursement regulations, and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of medical coding standards and UAE healthcare regulations.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ethical and professional conduct.

Required skills

• Proficiency with encoder software.
