Clinical Instructor – Health Sciences

About the role

Clinical Instructors are responsible for providing effective instruction and assessment during clinical practice trainings of undergraduate and diploma health sciences students across classroom, lab, hospital and community settings.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Outreach and Work‑Integrated Learning Department to secure approvals for placements and apprenticeships with MOH, HAAD and DHA.
• Orient students to clinical sites, schedules, evaluation methods and expectations, and tailor activities based on individual portfolios.
• Monitor student progress, assess competence, and deliver mid‑term and final evaluations, reporting concerns to faculty.
• Serve as a role model and mentor, providing timely feedback and fostering professional development.
• Facilitate the development of competencies, decision‑making skills and standards of practice, and support UAE national recruitment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant health sciences discipline (e.g., Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, etc.).
• Minimum five years of clinical experience in the specialised discipline and valid licensure (or ability to obtain UAE licence).
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and organisational abilities with a proven record of clinical teaching.
• Fluent written and spoken English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High computer literacy and ability to integrate technology into the learning environment.
