Clinical Social Worker (UAE National) – Full-Time

About the role

The Clinical Social Worker provides comprehensive psychosocial assessment, care planning and advocacy for vulnerable patients within Abu Dhabi Health Services. This full‑time position requires coordination with multidisciplinary teams, government and charitable agencies to ensure patient‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily workload allocation, prioritize caseloads and supervise junior staff as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive person‑centered psychosocial assessments and develop individualized social care plans.
• Coordinate delivery of care plans with relevant government bodies, charities and external agencies.
• Advocate for patients, ensuring their wishes guide long‑term care decisions and discharge planning.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, crisis interventions and psycho‑education sessions.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, electronic data entry and ensure confidentiality in line with professional codes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, infection‑control and occupational health standards.
• Deliver training, contribute to departmental committees and support professional development of staff.

Required profile

• BSc in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Social Work.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.
• UAE national status.
• Maintain continuing education as required by the Department of Health.
• Hold all necessary licensure, certification and mandatory training.
