Cloud Engineer / Cloud Administrator – Microsoft Azure

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Cloud Engineer / Cloud Administrator with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and efficiency for business‑critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Manage and support hybrid cloud infrastructure, integrating on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain cloud‑based virtual machines, storage, networking, and security services.
• Monitor cloud performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure, connectivity, and service issues.
• Support cloud migration projects, including application, server, and data migrations.
• Automate cloud administration tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.
• Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions in the cloud.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to deliver integrated cloud solutions.
• Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, operational procedures, and standards.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and recommend improvements for performance and cost efficiency.
• Monitor resource utilization and implement cost management and optimization strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud administration, cloud engineering or infrastructure management.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and cloud networking concepts.
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
