Cloud Security Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Security Specialist to design, implement and manage security controls across Microsoft Azure environments. The role will protect cloud workloads, identities, endpoints and data, and support security operations, threat detection and compliance in hybrid and cloud settings.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage Azure security controls, policies and best practices.
• Configure and operate Microsoft security solutions such as Defender for Cloud, Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Servers and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Manage security monitoring, incident investigation, analytics rules, workbooks and response activities within Sentinel.
• Implement identity and access security controls using Entra ID, RBAC and Conditional Access.
• Manage endpoint security using Microsoft Intune and data protection using Microsoft Purview.
• Perform cloud security assessments, posture reviews, vulnerability analysis and remediation.
• Integrate Azure security solutions with SOC operations and support audits and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in cloud security, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft security solutions (Defender suite, Sentinel, Intune, Purview).
• Strong understanding of Azure security architecture, shared responsibility model and identity management.
• Relevant certification such as CCSP, AZ‑500 or equivalent.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure security services (Defender for Cloud, XDR, Sentinel, Intune, Purview).
• Identity and access management (Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access).
• Automation with PowerShell, Azure Functions or Logic Apps.
• Network security components (Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, Web Application Firewall).
• Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, SOC 2).
