Club Lounge Waiter/Waitress

About the role

The Club Lounge at Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai is seeking a professional Waiter/Waitress to deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring every interaction reflects the brand’s legendary service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the lounge menu, including light meals, beverages, and signature drinks.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar, and ensure prompt delivery.
• Address special dietary requests and allergies, informing kitchen and management as needed.
• Provide attentive, personalized service and create "wow" moments that delight guests.
• Upsell menu items and signature drinks to enhance revenue.
• Operate the POS system, process billing, and set up/clear tables according to standards.

Required profile

• High school qualification preferred; hospitality or business degree advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a waiter/ess in a high‑volume restaurant or luxury hotel.
• Strong verbal and written English; Arabic a plus.
• Knowledge of dining service procedures and POS/cashiering processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
