Cluster AC Technician

About the role

The Cluster AC Technician is responsible for the operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air‑conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems across both hotel properties. The role ensures HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while maintaining comfortable environmental conditions for guests and team members.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of air‑conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems across both hotel properties.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment such as FCUs, AHUs, FAHUs, split AC units, package units, and exhaust/ventilation systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, monitor performance parameters, and carry out refrigerant charging in line with safety and environmental standards.
• Respond promptly to guest room and operational maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Conduct routine inspections of plant rooms, guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, offices, and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Support energy‑conservation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, refrigerant usage, and spare‑part consumption.
• Assist external HVAC contractors and coordinate with other engineering colleagues across both hotels.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma, ITI, vocational certificate or equivalent in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years experience as an AC/HVAC Technician, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel or similar facilities environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including FCUs, AHUs, FAHUs, split and package AC units.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faults and handle refrigerants safely.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and basic HVAC drawings/schematics.
• Basic communication skills in English and ability to work independently or within a multicultural engineering team.
